  • Getting There?
    All Wildrift camps and mountain lodges are located in Kumaon, Uttarakhand. From Delhi, the railhead at Kathgodam is 300 kms away (6 -7 hrs). It is well connected by Train / bus / taxi / self drive. Kathgodam to Wildrift camps / lodges: Taxi / Self drive (between 1 hour – 8 hours variously)
  • Will it be too tiring. Can I opt out of trying adventure sports and just relax?
    You can set your own pace and choose how you wish to spend your day. We simply facilitate your choice.
  • Can children try all of the adventure sports?
    Yes, children are encouraged to enjoy all the adventure action in the outdoors. Each location has a team of qualified training instructors with experience in facilitating children in the outdoors. Some sports may have specific requirements.
  • Food at the camps / Eating out options
    Delicious and nutritious meals are served using mostly fresh local produce. Feel free to discuss the menu with the chef. Our kitchen teams loves to experiment and we are open to learning. We are in the wilderness, so we cook or carry packed our own supply when camping in the forest. At times we may eat at a village home.
  • Laundry service
    Not available. The camps operate on eco-tourism principles and are located in forest settings with pristine natural surroundings. Kindly avoid washing clothes at the camps, please pack accordingly.
  • Are bathrooms attached to the tents / rooms?
    Clean washroom facilities are available in a separate area of the camp (not attached): Bathing area, wash basins with running water and toilet cabins with W/C flush loos are provided at all camps / lodges.
  • Is there power supply at the camp for lighting, charging cameras and cell-phones.
    Solar lamps, hurricane lanterns are used for lighting at night along paths, in dining, campfire, washroom and other areas. Common charging points are available at all camps The tents do not have power supply and guests are requested to carry personal flashlights.
  • Do the camps have reliable cellular network.
    You may have to move around a bit to find a good spot for a strong connection, but as of late most major cellular networks are available.
  • Is playing music allowed?
    Music (on speakers) is not allowed. All camps are in forest areas and near villages, both settings being non conducive to amplified music. However, we do love music and acoustic sessions with guitars, dholaks, harmoniums, singing etc is frequent at the campfire.
