Darma valley
The enchanting Darma Valley lies in the trans-Himalaya region behind the Panchchuli peaks along the upper reaches of the Dhauli Ganga and Lasser Yankthi rivers adjacent to the Kumaon – Nepal border. The valley has a unique and distinct culture of its own. Since the valley is in the trans-Himalayan region, the trek is of moderate difficulty. Maximum altitude reached is 3962 m.
Season: May to mid-November
Getting there
Nearest best railway connection is a 6 -7 hr rail journey from Delhi to Kathgodam. From there a 12 hr. hill road journey takes us to Dharchula and beyond to the roadhead of Sobla.
Nanda Devi base camp
This trans-Himalayan trek is located in the Johar Valley of eastern Kumaon. This valley was one of the centres of the ancient Indo-Tibetan trade route. The Gori Ganga river which cuts through this valley springs from the Milam Glacier. Besides offering spectacular views of Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, Trisuli and other peaks, this trek takes you through ancient villages and alpine meadows.

Nearest best railway connection is a 6 -7 hr rail journey from Delhi to Kathgodam. From there a 10 hr. hill road journey takes us to Munsiyari.
Ralam Pass
A high altitude trek where we cross over from the Gori Ganga valley in to the Dhauli Ganga valley. It involves crossing two high passes and glaciers. The trek begins from Munsiyari and winds up to Ralam Pass at 5630m and then across into the Darma Valley at Sipu. Two passes and three glaciers need to be negotiated. The views from the passes on either side are stunning to say the least.

Roopkund
In Chamoli district of Uttarakhand is set the glacial lake of Roopkund. The lake contains the skeletons of what legends say are the remains of either an army unit crossing the Himalaya or those of people making a pilgrimage to the sacred Himalaya. The trek takes us through the majestic high altitude meadows (bugyals) of Bedni and Ali which offer breathtaking views of Trishul and Nanda Ghungti peaks.
Season: Late April to October

Nearest best railway connection is a 6 -7 hr rail journey from Delhi to Kathgodam. From there a 10 hr. hill road journey takes us to Gwaldam and then onto the village of Wan.
